Teeth Brushing and Heart Disease

How important is it to brush your teeth? Well, more and more studies are showing that keeping your teeth and your mouth clean can actually be effective at preventing, of all things, heart disease. That’s right. We have found that people who have bacterial infections, periodontal disease, are more likely to have problems associated with heart disease. Now, whether it’s because of the teeth or it’s because of the fact that certain individuals may not take care of their teeth or their overall health, we’re not sure. But there is clearly that association.

When Do Babies Develop Teeth?

A lot of parents are concerned about when their children will get their first teeth.  Really, it does vary, but systematically across the board, it's usually the first tooth at six months and another tooth every month thereafter.  It’s important that parents not put pressure on themselves as they watch for their baby’s development.  Most children, if not all, about 99.99%, develop teeth and their teeth grow, and they grow fine.  So you don't want to be over that stressful barrel where you're telling yourself that it's not going to happen, because it will.

We always appreciate your comments.
